Online Orders + Shipping Delays
We are processing all online orders as soon as possible. Orders placed online are typically fulfilled within the given lead times on our homepage. Please note, however, that our shipping carriers are experiencing a high increase in volume and there may be longer delivery delays than usual. Any updates and revised delivery times will be reflected on your tracking number once your order has left our studio.

Returns
Once your return is delivered to our studio in Hamburg, Germany it normally takes 5 business days for us to process your return. However, processing times may be slightly longer than usual under current circumstances. Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding.

The brand ELBHAVN is a young leathermaking artisan label and was founded in Hamburg, Germany in 2021 by Art Director and Designer, Emre Telli as an online-only boutique for handmade quality leather goods.

With a mix of down-to-earth and minimalist collections, the label offers bespoke leather goods in the production line. The priority is using only the finest and sustainable materials from the world's best makers and applying traditional methods of crafting to create beloved and handmade heirlooms. We fully recognize the urgency to do our part in taking care of the planet and all its inhabitants. We are consciously increasing the percentage of minimal impact products to our products, and will continue doing so.

Given our minimalist heritage you may assume that our name, and the way it’s pronounced, originate from northern countries. In fact, the true provenance traces back to the Elbe River in Hamburg, which then flows into a port inspired by so many port cities called Havn. The founder bestowed the company with this link to minimalist way of living and simplicity, so the brand as we know it today was born. From this point, our brand enjoyed unprecedented acclaim, but it is also when the confusion started. Despite the temptation to say it phonetically, the correct pronunciation is in fact “EH-lb Ha-w-n”.

If you would like to return your purchase for any reason, please remember these four rules:

Return your items quickly
You have 14 days to make your return request online following your order date. After requesting your return, you have 7 days to mail the items back to us.

Return new items only
Items must be returned in new, unworn, and unwashed condition without any scuffs, scratches, stains, tears, hair, perfume or other alterations. If your item includes special tags or cardboard backing, these also should be intact.

Some items cannot be returned
Gift cards and other select products are final sales and cannot be returned nor exchanged. Before submitting your order, please consult the product description to determine if the item you're purchasing can be returned.

Important Note
Please note that only purchases made at elbhavn.commay be accepted. If your return is mailed back outside the return period and the above conditions are not met, we reserve the right to refuse return processing at our discretion, in which case your item may be donated to a local organization or discarded without refund.

At this time, we do not offer direct exchanges online. The quickest way to exchange your item is to place a new order right away, and return your original purchase for a refund. If your original purchase included a discount or promotion, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team for assistance with your new order.

Occasionally we will provide coupon codes with special offers and discounts. These can be found in emails, on social media, or at promotional events. Discount codes can be entered at Checkout.

Discount and promo codes are not valid on sale items, collaborations, third party items unless specified in the terms and conditions. Coupon codes are for one time use only and we reserve the right to suspend their usage at any moment.

We reduce excess and add minimal touch to our leather products to embrace greater value and the aesthetic appeal that our clients want. Our ethical approach combines classic styles, minimal cuts, and modern materials — made with as little environmental impact as possible — to handcraft premium quality pieces we are truly proud of.

Our high-quality leather goods are well designed and lovingly handcrafted studio in Hamburg, Germany, with superior full-grain Tuscan Vacchetta leather sourced from some of the best tanneries in the world.

We ship to all European addresses.

Europe: Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Note: International shipping, outside of the EU is temporarily unavailable.

Customers wishing to pick up orders
For customers who wish to pick up their item(s), please type in "PICKUP" in the discount code box when checking out. This makes the shipping cost 0 €.

Free express shipping over 300 €.

All European orders are not subject to customs & duty fees.

Note: In compliance with § 19 UStG (German Turnover Tax Act), the invoice amount shown does not include any VAT.

What fun would online shopping be without anticipating your package? We’ll keep you updated via email while we complete your order, and we’ll send you a tracking number so you can follow its journey to your door.

You can also look up the status of your order online at any time. Just visit the “Orders & Returns” section of your online profile to view your order history. Your tracking number will listed alongside your order details.

Please reach out to care@elbhavn.com as quickly as possible, and we'll do our best to make the necessary changes to your order if we can. Note, that once an order has been placed it is not always possible for us to update your shipping information prior to shipment. Once an order has been shipped from our studio, we are not able to reroute or make any changes to the order.

While we do our best to update orders whenever possible, ELBHAVN is ultimately not responsible for orders shipped to the incorrect address.

Things move fast around here and orders are processed quickly. Please note that once your order is placed, we cannot guarantee that any changes can be made. Please ensure that all information is correct and complete before submitting your order online.

Once your order is placed, it is not possible to change the items, discounts, or shipping method applied to the purchase. If you would like to purchase additional items, we recommend placing a second order for any additional items you wish to purchase. For any additional assistance with your pending order, reach out to us and we'll do our best to sort things out!

All hope is not lost!

Sometimes your package is just waiting in an unexpected place. We strongly suggest contacting your neighbours, looking in your backyard and calling your local post office to see if they’re holding the package for you.

Please allow one full business day after the package is marked as delivered before contacting the shipping provider or we are about the whereabouts of your package.

Note: ELBHAVN is not responsible for package loss or theft once your order has been expedited from our warehouse. Please make sure to double check your shipping information before submitting your order.

Payment Methods

ELBHAVN accepts the following payment methods online: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, Sezzle, ShopPay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

We do not accept Visa Prepaid Cards, personal cheques, or money orders.

To redeem your gift card, simply enter your gift card code at checkout and the balance will be applied to your order total.

When you pay with a gift card, this is considered a payment method and not a discount code. If you return products purchased with a gift card, your refund will be issued as a gift card. Note that purchases made using split payment (part gift card, part credit card or other payment method) will always be refunded to the gift card(s) first, and any remaining balance will be issued to the other payment method.

Purchases made through our website online will be instantly charged to your provided method of payment at the time of purchase.

We work diligently to process your returns as quickly as possible.

Please allow up to 5 business days for returns in Germany and and up to 10 business days for returns coming from European Countries (outside Germany) once the return package has been delivered to our studio in Hamburg, Germany. When your return is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your refund.

Please note that it may take 3-5 business days for a refund to appear on your credit card statement once it has been processed.

Our premium leather goods are quality guaranteed and are marked with “Made To Last” premise. If you have any concerns about the workmanship of our products, please contact us online via contact form.

We don't do prize-matching but we provide transparency on the actual origin and manufacturing conditions of the product. By sourcing only the finest materials from the world's best makers, we are able to trace their origins and share those stories with you, down to the true cost of each product. When we founded the brand we decided to only sell directly to our customers to avoid any mark-ups by retail shops or other middlemen.

Leather & Care Instructions

We exclusively use full-grain Vachetta leather, sourced from a single family-run tannery in the heart of Florence.

The vegetable-tanned Vachetta leather they produce is renowned worldwide for its natural finish, luxuriously smooth texture and unrivalled durability. Not only is the leather of the highest quality, but it is also ethically sourced. Our tannery belongs to The Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium, an association of tanneries committed to traditional and environmentally sustainable production methods.
